Fluffy is recovering, wearing a guilty expression (and rightly so).
She was brought to our clinic presenting with vomiting, anorexia, and lethargy.
Diagnostic imaging — abdominal ultrasound and X-rays — revealed the presence of a foreign body in the small intestine, with signs of obstruction.
The foreign body was surgically removed using the enterotomy technique, and Fluffy is now safely hospitalized!
Caution with foreign objects (toys, balls, plastics, fabrics, etc.). Young pets are always prime candidates for swallowing them, which can lead to potentially life-threatening complications!
