Naomi got herself into trouble just before Easter — she thought it was a good idea to eat a plastic foreign object!
Symptoms: Vomiting, severe abdominal pain, lethargy, anorexia.
Diagnostics: Abdominal X-ray and ultrasound for a better evaluation of the gastrointestinal tract.
Treatment: Surgical removal of the foreign body via enterotomy.
Naomi is now recovering in our inpatient unit, has regained her appetite and good spirits, and is waiting for her discharge so she can enjoy her Easter holidays!
