Makis – Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Makis, right after surgery, appears to be in a true Zen state!

He came to our clinic with urinary problems (blood drops in the urine).

Abdominal ultrasound revealed benign prostatic hyperplasia, with small cystic changes in the parenchyma of the gland.

Treatment of choice (after first ruling out other urinary tract conditions): castration (orchiectomy)! This leads to a reduction in the size of the prostate.

Makis is a cardiac patient.

Nevertheless, with the use of an appropriate anesthetic protocol, any necessary surgical procedure can be carried out.

Of course, a patient like this requires suitable equipment and experience to minimize anesthesia-related risks, which, by definition, are not negligible compared to those of a completely healthy patient!
